As a nationwide social legal entity, CAMETA (China Association for Mechatronics Technology & Application) is a nonprofit social organization, voluntarily formed by enterprises, institutions and related organizations engaged in the research, the development, the production and the application of mechatronics technology and products.
 

The objective of CAMETA is to promote both the integration of mechanical and electronic technologies and the development, the application and promotion of mechatronics technology and products, to boost the innovation of the replacement of the Chinese traditional enterprises with microelectronic technology, to increase the public awareness and knowledge of mechatronics technology and to push forward the technological progress as well as the development of the new technological industries. CAMETA abides by the laws, constitutions, regulations and national policies defined by the government as well as social morality and practices.
 

Under the guidance and supervision of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, China National Economic and Trade Commission, China Federation of Machinery Industry, and the Ministry of Civil Affairs, CAMETA serves as the adviser and the aide to the government in terms of its implementation of the development of mechatronics technology and products while building both a bridge and a link between the government and the enterprises.
 

Established in September, 1989, CAMETA is located in Beijing, People’s Republic of China.
