罗伯特.杉布先生是一位瑞士公民，自从上世纪90年代起就开始定居在日本。他是一位自动化和嵌入式系统方面的专家。
他致力于企业在远东国家和地区的发展，特别是日本和中国。
在过去的15年里，他成功地帮助了欧洲的一些中小企业在亚洲开展业务。
在这期间，他与德国、日本和中国(包括台湾)的一些全球领先的PLC制造商建立了密切的联系与合作，因此，他对自动化行业的发展趋势非常熟悉，并且对这个行业的局势有着及时而准确的把握。
罗伯特.杉布先生还和PLCopen国际组织建立了友好关系，并且多年来，在日本和中国推广IEC
61131标准等活动中扮演着领导角色。
他还是中国机电一体化协会(CAMETA)的顾问。

Robert Champoud, a Swiss citizen and living in Japan since the beginning of the 90s, is a specialist in the fields of Automation and Embedded systems.
He is engaged in business development targeting Far East countries with a special focus on Japan and China.
During the past 15 years, he has helped Small and Medium Size Entreprises from Europe to establish their businesses in Asia.
During this period, he has established close contacts and collaborations with leading PLC manufacturers in Germany, Japan and China (Taiwan) and, consequently, he is quite familiar with the trend of the automation industry and has an immediate and accurate grasp on the situation of this industry.
Robert Champoud has also set up a friendly relationship with the international organization PLCopen and has played a leading role in promoting the Standard IEC 61131 in Japan and in China for many years.
He is also acting as a consultant of CAMETA.
