PROFIBUS is state of the art in process automation. In comparison to 4-20 mA technology, PROFIBUS generates a lot of benefits during planning, installing, commissioning and operation phase of a plant. Additionally, integration of innovative field device diagnostics into plant asset management applications offers a huge potential for ongoing device and process optimization during the plant life cycle. Next to the presentation several Plant Asset Management tools will be presented.
